AAPD 2020 Cancellation FAQ

Will my AAPD 2020 conference registration be refunded?
Yes, your registration fees will be refunded in full, even if you canceled before this decision was made. At this time, there is no action required. Please allow up to 60 days for all refunds to be processed. You will also be given the opportunity to donate your registration to the AAPD to help offset our significant financial loss resulting from cancelling the Annual Session.

How do I cancel my hotel reservation?
Hotel reservations booked in the AAPD block will be canceled without charge. If you made a reservation outside of the AAPD block you will need to cancel that reservation directly with the hotel. If you still intend on traveling to Nashville, please re-book directly with the hotel.

Is AAPD refunding any flights or travel costs?
AAPD will not refund individual travel costs. Please check with your airline regarding their current refund policies.

Will AAPD 2020 take place later this year?
At this time, AAPD has weighed all options for an alternate date, but has chosen not to reschedule AAPD 2020.

How will I be able to earn CE?
AAPD is committed to supporting your professional development. We will be back in touch shortly with alternate options to deliver the Annual Session CE that we worked so hard to organize. You can also find past Annual Sessions and CE courses at, https://educationpassport.aapd.org/.

My organization is scheduled hold an affiliate/alumni event or session at the meeting. How can I go about cancelling my vendor orders for audio visual, catering, etc.?
Please contact the hotel representative that you worked with to make your arrangements. They will be able to assist you. If you need help identifying who to contact, please reach out to kstancato@aapd.org.

My Poster Submission was accepted to be presented at this year’s conference. What should I do about my poster?
We will be in touch for a potential alternate solution for presenting your poster. We will be in touch in the coming weeks with the next steps.

I was invited to receive an award at the conference. How will I receive this recognition?
Recognition of your achievement is important to the AAPD and the pediatric dental community. We will contact all award recipients and identify next steps in the coming weeks.

I am nominated to serve on the AAPD Board or AAPD Foundation Board. When will I begin my term of service?
The AAPD Board of Trustees and AAPD Foundation Board of Trustees votes on the slate of officers, directors and trustees. Because the AAPD BOT and AAPD Foundation BOT will not meet in person, AAPD is identifying an alternate method of installing leadership. We will be in touch with you in the coming weeks.
